Head Southwest on Texas Highway 87Take the Port Bolivar Ferry to Galveston, Texas. The Ferry is free and is open to the general public. One ferry operates 24 hours a day and a second ferry operates from 6:30 AM and runs for 8 to 12 hours, depending on traffic. The ferry ride is approximately 20 minutes. Maximum vehicle size is is 65 feet long by13.5 feet tall by 8.5 feet wide with weight not to exceed 80,000 pounds. Karen is the best! She called us regarding luggage we’d left behind and it was shipped UPS to us the next day. It wasn’t damaged and everything was there. The guys that loaded and unloaded us for our cruise were great. They were very helpful and friendly! We will use them again and highly recommend them!!
I’m so glad we went with Lighthouse! When we arrived we were directed to a parking space. Our bags were then loaded onto the shuttle by the staff. They shuttled us to the terminal and unloaded our bags. After we disembarked the ship they were waiting for us. They loaded and unloaded our bags once again. Everyone was very polite and helpful. Highly recommend them!
